My name is Kaitlin Gardner. I am 34 years old and married to my best friend. I was born and raised in the Northeast and currently live in the great state of Pennsylvania. I would love to move somewhere with sunny skies and warmer temperatures. My family is here however, and this is where my heart is.
Ever since I can remember, my passion has been to put pen to paper and record everything from my thoughts to lessons well learned. I have continued to hone my writing skills and am currently working on my first book. While I have been published several times over, the book is by far the biggest endeavor I have ever undertaken. It is my goal to continue to produce more books in the future, including a series on green living and eco-friendly lifestyle habits.
I love the outdoors and continually strive to leave as small an impact as possible on the world around me. Sustainable and renewable resources are all around us. I have made it a point to reuse as many items as possible and recycle items I can’t. My experience has taught me many things about adapting existing resources into things that can be used over and over again.
I try to live as close to nature as possible and use only the things I need. My husband and I look for the recycling logo on each package. We look for eco-friendly products and, whenever possible, make our own.
One of the things I would like to accomplish with my writing is to educate others in how to live an eco-friendly, natural lifestyle. By teaching others how to make environmentally safe cleaning products, they can reduce their exposure to toxic chemicals and lower the risks that come with using them.
Another facet of my lifestyle I would like to share information on is the health benefits of the many plants and elements found in our local natural environment. Pennsylvania is rich in vegetation that provides valuable healing tools for people who know how to use them. Natural healing methods, such as herbalism, hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, chiropractic and massage are beneficial, time tested techniques that have been in use for hundreds of years.
I will always write about the things I love. My never ending adventure of learning how to co-exist with the world around me will constantly be one of my strongest resources of motivation and inspiration.
